I'm in TikTok's tallest family - Inside my struggle to find clothes, shoes, cars & a man - now I'm d
WITH every family member well over six feet tall, being in what may be the internet's tallest family comes with difficulties but a TikToker says she loves being a tall girl.
Marie Temara, 27, is 6'2 and the oldest sibling but the shortest person in her family-of-five.
She used to be bullied for her height when she was younger, she said.
"About a year ago, I posted a TikTok about being a tall girl and some of the struggles and it immediately went viral."
Marie is known on TikTok by her username, Marietemara4.0, and has nearly 770,000 followers.
Growing up tall
"We were just head and shoulders taller than everyone so we're always just something to look at. Everyone's always just all eyes on us. As soon as we walk into a room," Marie said.

"I'm the shortest at 6'2 so, everyone always comes up to us and asks us how tall we are. We like to joke and say, we're over seven feet tall,
"And people always believe it just cuz you know, we say the same thing over and over again, but we say we're even taller."
She jokingly said they're "the giant family."
Cars aren't usually big enough to fit in all of Marie's family of 'giants', she said.

"So, we'll have to split up, take like a few different cars just to fit."
Marie said she can barely fit into her "completely tiny" Ford Mustang.
"Normal cars are a struggle for all of us," she added.
It's even difficult for Marie and her tall family members to find shoes and clothes that fit, she said.
"Pants are never long enough, I struggle with women's shoes and so does my mom. We both have huge feet, so finding women's shoes is very hard."
She said it's also hard for her family to fit on airplanes or "pretty much fitting on anything".
"A lot of rollercoasters have height restrictions, so we can't even do a lot of those. Especially my brothers can't ride any of those."
Romance in the tall family
As two women more than 6 feet tall, Marie said she and her mom both struggled with trying to find men taller than them to date.
Her mom, Christine Temara, 61, is 6'5 and her dad, Mike Temara, 62, is 6'3.
The parents met while Christine was in New Zealand, where Marie's dad is from, playing professional basketball. Her mom is from Syracuse, New York.
"So she kind of just went with the 'Short King' and he loved it."
Marie said she'd only date guys taller than her for a while, "which extremely limits the dating pool" but now she's open to men shorter & has dubbed them 'Short Kings'.
"I used to be not so confident in my height," she said.
"Now that I'm confident about my height, I don't really mind if they're short or taller, whatever."
Tall family in sports
With her brother Shane, 26, being 6'9 and Troy, 24, 6'10, Marie said they've always played division one basketball and are currently playing professional basketball overseas.
Her parents are both former professional athletes who "wanted tall, athletic children".
She started getting her family involved in more TikTok videos when she noticed the attention her videos about simple things that come with being a "tall girl" would get.
"I realized that our normal everyday family life is something really interesting to most people so, we started making more family TikToks and they all started pretty much going viral."

Marie said taller families might exist but there aren't any other tall families making a statement on social media like hers is.

"We're like one of the tallest. I think we are the tallest family active on social media posting about it."
