Englands Jude Bellingham Reveals Preferred Position After Recent Win
Following his impressive performance in England’s 3-1 victory over Scotland, midfielder Jude Bellingham has informed manager Gareth Southgate about his preferred position on the field.
Bellingham found the back of the net as England secured a friendly win against Scotland at Hampden Park.
In addition to scoring a goal, Bellingham also contributed to the build-up for Phil Foden’s opening goal, scored minutes later, and provided an assist for Harry Kane to seal the victory.
Although Bellingham typically plays as a No. 10 at Real Madrid, Southgate deployed him in a similar role against Scotland.
During his post-match press conference with Channel 4, Bellingham stated, “I wasn’t satisfied with my performance against Ukraine [on Saturday]. It was far from my best, and my motivation is always to reach my peak. Tonight, I got close to that.”
He further added, “I understand that it depends on the system we play, and we have exceptional players to accommodate. Therefore, the team always takes precedence. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed playing in the same position today.”
